Cleaning my Toilet

I hate cleaning my toilets. I've tried all the gimmicks from tablets to tricky little tubes you plug into the inside of the tank. I don't think it's exactly hard, I just don't want to do it. Well, I read the other day to pour 1 cup of baking soda into your toilet and let it sit for 1 hour. Now I didn't exactly read the whole article and it didn't work. the baking soda dropped to the bottom and just sat there... darn. I remember the experiment my daughter Melanie did where you put some baking soda in a sandwich baggie, slip in another smaller bag full of vinegar, close the baggie and pop open the vinegar bag. The vinegar reacts with the baking soda and caused gases to burst the bag open. Well, why can't I pour some vinegar into the toilet and it will foam up and maybe then it will clean the toilet. So I pour some vinegar into the toilet and it starts rising much faster and higher then I expected...panic. I grabbed the handle ready to flush when I remember the exploding baggie...really panicked. Just when I figured I would be cleaning up a big mess it slowly stopped rising. So the morel of this story is, it is easier to clean the toilet than to clean the toilet, the floor, the wall, and the bathroom mat. Don't try this at home!
