Heater Cover

For all those who have campers, do you see the metal cover over the water heater? Well, they are very important, they keep bees from building hives inside your water heater. I didn't have one but now I do. Guess what happens if you light the water heater and there is a bee hive in there, you're right, it catches on fire. Now I'm not saying ours caught on fire but I now have a heater cover on my trailer :)

Who's ready for Memorial Day? Uh, this Gurl

My husband told me last year that I wasn't tacky enough so that was like permission to go shopping! Hobby Lobby has a great selection and I had a coupon, woohoo! I have six strands of LED star tacky lights, a spinner, two wind socks and a red, white and blue lighted ball. I used my Cricut to cut the God Bless America and the U.S. Marine sign but I didn't stop there. I put some red, white and blue curling ribbon and some flags on my bike. I have a red checked table cloth on the picnic table and small flags everywhere. Oh Yea, I'm ready!

Sausage Appetizers

These are my new favorite appetizers. It is Chappell Hill garlic sausage links with bacon wrapped around it. Cut the sausage link in half and then in half again. You will have four pieces, cut the four pieces into fourths, each piece should be about an inch wide. I take 4 slices of bacon and cut them into fourths. Stretch the bacon around the sausage and secure it with a half of a toothpick. Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. These are NOT fat free but they are delicious!  These would be great cooked over a campfire. My daughter Melanie introduced me to that with Jalapeno Sausage and bacon...to die for!

The Red Plate

I heard about these plates on the Chuck Swindoll radio show. The original plates you can buy say "I am Special" but I prefer "I am Blessed". I bought the plates from Bed Bath and Beyond online, sprayed the plates with clear, cut the letters with my Cricut and another light coat of clear. The red plate is to acknowledge a family members: triumph, accomplishment, a job well done, a kindness, a birthday, a goal achieved or just to say "I love you" and 'I appreciate you". It is to remind them that they are Blessed and it should become a family tradition. Take it to a restaurant celebration and hand it to the waiter for the honoree.  Place a napkin down in case of high heat.
It is a charger plate, the dinner plate should be placed on top of the charger plate and should not be eaten off of. Wipe it with a damp cloth and it is NOT dishwasher safe.

Gorgeous

Isn't that gorgeous? This picture was taken across the street from my house. What a way to start my day! God is Great all the time!

Growing Onions

I saw on Pinterest that if you cut the roots off of the onion and plant them they will re-grow and it works! I left about a quarter of an inch of the onion on it, planted it roots down, watered it and within a week they had sprouted. The tall ones are Yellow onions and the smaller ones are chives. This is great, now I don't have to buy any more.
