Have you ever gone into a restaurant and was hit by a fry smell? The time we went looking for our very first travel trailer we found one that seemed just the right size and amount we wanted to spend. It was used but it seemed very nice on the outside. The minute I walked in the trailer I smelled that smell, yuck! We passed on that one because you had to sleep with that smell too. I decided I would never fry ANYTHING in our trailer, so I bought an electric skillet and I cook strong smelling food outside, heck, I cook most of our food outside. We have a toaster oven that is used just as much as the skillet. See that little gadget to the right, while we are camping I place the batteries in it and it sprays every 30 minutes, love it! I remove the batteries when we get home and store it for the next trip. I also love my little vacuum, it is just right for my trailer.
I have so little to vacuum I just leave the
handle off, run it across the floors and I'm done! I wish washing the mountains of clothes was that easy!

Here's Your Sign!
Here's my newest camping signs. I love to watch as people walk or drive by and read the signs. Of course, if you're from Texas you can't help but sing the last sign! We were with the family this weekend so I just couldn't help myself, I just had to bring out the Friends Welcome relatives by appointment only! Just kidding....I LOVE my family!

My New Shoes
I love these shoes, they are dressy looking but only have about an inch heel. The Church I attend has a tile floor and I have imagined myself walking in heels and falling on my cushioned side. So I went to Famous Footwear and bought two pairs of shoes. I had my eye on another pair that had a flower but I didn't like the style. Then I told myself, You silly girl just make a flower and put it on these and that is just what I did. I wanted to put the flower on an alligator clip but I am allergic to most metals, so I cut a thin piece of Velcro, wove it between the straps and now they are interchangeable too! BAM!!! Did I mention they were on sale to, just double that BAM?

4th of July Pinwheel Brooch
I made these pinwheel brooches to wear to work and I love the way they turned out. I used "No Sew Bond" to iron two pieces of fabric together and cut out a 4 x 4 square. I cut from the corner to about 1" from the center, folded over one corner of each triangle, hot glued it down and hot glued a button in the center. On the back I hot glued some 3" ribbons to a piece of felt, hot glued the felt to the back of the pinwheel and then hot glued on a pin clasp so I could wear it. I think I will be making some more of these, maybe some with a summer theme, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and snow days. Won't that be cute?
