Monkey Bread

There are some days you just need sugar and today was one of those days. I make it for work, take a small piece for myself and feed the rest to the hungry savages. I think brown sugar is so good, it is right up there with chocolate. I especially like it with ice cream like in Banana Foster, yum. Now I try to make a lot of recipes low cal but this is one recipe that I will NOT try to make low cal. You dip the biscuit pieces in sugar and then pour sugar on top of it, how good is that?

I buy the four can of Pillsbury biscuits because it had to feed my six kids years ago and now an office full of people. My office only has three women and the men would be just as happy with biscuits and gravy but I want sugar! Buy the buttermilk biscuits not the layered biscuits.
Monkey Bread
3/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoon of cinnamon
4 cans of biscuits
8 tablespoons of Parkay butter
1/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 13 x 9 pan with foil and spray with oil or use a disposable pan sprayed with oil. Mix 3/4 cup of sugar with cinnamon. Remove biscuits from wrapping, place three stacked biscuits on a cutting board and cut down in half, cut halves in half again. You will get four pieces from each biscuit. Dip the biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar and roll around to coat. Place in a single layer in the pan loosely, if needed a second layer. Melt butter, add sugars and vanilla, drizzle over biscuits. Bake for 12 - 14 minutes. pull some biscuits from the center to make sure the bottom layer is cooked thoroughly. Enjoy!!
